The Seasons Art Class

Corina
A fully qualified and super talented art teacher
There are not many clothes I own that do not have at least one splatter of paint, this is because painting is like my pulse. If I’m not able to paint for a while, I feel lost. Getting to throw some bright colours at a canvas and see a portrait emerge puts me back in a good place. This is what art means to me, and sharing that with others gives me all the best feelings. Seeing people seize their genuine potential too is what motivates me in my work. Teaching wasn’t always my first choice of career, I’ve worked my way round. When I was able to run my own gallery, it felt like the natural step to share my practice with others, show them what I do and see them do what they do. As soon as I first stepped into teaching I knew though, it was for me and I am thoroughly enjoying being a tutor with Seasons. Working with Seasons gives me a chance to explore new projects and share them in a creative setting, often with people who are totally new to Art.

An art enthusiast stepping into the role of ‘the beautiful assistant
Art has been a big part of life. I can remember at the age of 7 I received a little book that showed me the basics of sketching and shading. I created a very wobbly piece of a man on a bike with a large moustache. I remember posting to my friend in the UK (I was living in South Africa at the time) and being so proud of what I had accomplished. This sparked the love of all thing’s art and creative and my bedroom floor was never seen again underneath boxes, materials, ribbons, canvases, paper, and all and any art supplies I could get my hands onto. I took my art through to GCSE and onto university level where is achieved a BA Honours in the subject I love! Although, after having my first child I entered a few years of no time to paint or create. This dry spell seemed unending until I found The Seasons Art Class. This new adventure has thrown me headfirst into art again and I’m loving it!
